We’re excited to introduce Atomic Mail, an encrypted email service designed to prioritize your privacy and security. In a world where data breaches are becoming more common, our goal is to offer a simple yet powerful solution for secure communication.

We’re currently in beta and would love to have the Hacker News community put it to the test. Your feedback will be invaluable in helping us refine the product and improve the overall user experience.

I signed up and I suppose it looks nice enough, but… I work with a community where some people think highly of simple, powerful, secure services with good privacy. As it stands, those people would look skeptically at your service, since it certainly looks simple but apart from that, it's just your words. They'd want something a little more trustworthy.

FWIW, the same audience would also react positively to words about how you're not hosted in the US, can't be ordered around by the US government, have (or plan to have) good i18n etc. Fairly or unfairly, the US federal government has lost a few popularity contests.

Good luck. Always nice to see new startups in this area.

I'm not going to sign up for something when I haven't read literally a single thing about it, especially when encrypted email has always been an unsolvable UX problem.
